<B>Broadside, <I>Albany Register Extra. Coalition Consummated</B></I>.</B></I> One page, 18.5" x 21.5, Albany, New York, April 19, 1820. This massive newspaper supplement was issued in response to the "Bucktails", a local political party largely composed of disaffected Federalists who were violently opposed to Governor DeWitt Clinton and his appropriation of public funds for construction of the Erie Canal. The pro-Clinton <I>Albany Register</B></I> hoped to brand the Bucktails as money-grubbing bankers and lawyers acting in self-interest. Folds and stains, else fine condition.
