<B>Rare Anti-Bryan Button Lumping Him with Notorious Scoundrels.</B></I> This 1900 issue attempts to smear Bryan by putting him in the company of a discredited politician and the leader of the Philippine rebels who were waging an effective guerrilla war against the American occupiers after the close of the Spanish-American war. We have never seen a truly flawless example of this variety. Usually they have extensive light-colored splotches scattered over the surface. The present example exhibits a minimum amount of these marks along the rim only, extending from 4:30 to 6:30, and not affecting the design. Otherwise a very bright and pleasing example. Centering is often a problem with this variety as well, but this one is dead on. It would be hard to find an overall better copy.
