Ansonia Steeple Westminster Style Mantel Clock
In this lot is an Ansonia steeple Westminster style mantel clock. Ansonia Clocks were made by a clock manufacturing business that started in Ansonia, Connecticut in 1851 and moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1878 and closed in 1929. The clock is in a wood case with a steeple on each side of a pitched roof. The face of the clock has roman numerals with two winding ports. The hands of the clock are spade style and measure 2" and 3". Around the face of the clock are painted pink roses with green leaves and scrollwork. The glass on the front of the clock is partially black with gold scroll work and clear, to see the movement of the pendulum. The clock has its key. The clock appears to work. The clock measures 14 1/2" to the top of a spire, 17 1/4" to the top of the roof, 10" wide across the base, and 4 1/2" deep. This clock appears to be in good condition.
