Union General (1835–1917), and member of the illustrious ‘Fighting McCooks’ family,who participated at Perryville, Stones River, Lookout Mountain, and Missionary Ridge, and later became a senator from New York. Original 4 x 6.25 cabinet photo (no backing) by an anonymous studio, signed in the lower border in black ink, “Anson G. McCook, Brevet Brig Genl Vols.” In fine condition, with small chips and tears to top edge, caption affixed to bottom border, some light spotting to image, and aforementioned missing backing.
