Another RARE glass in Copper button scene
1 Large 18th C. Reverse painted scene set in copper. This is another incredible copper button from the collection of Harry Case of Missouri. The center glass is reverse painted with a very detailed architectural scene in very warm colors. Notice the detail of those walking across the bridge and the people in the boat on the water, nt to mention all the other detail in the button. This was certainly hand crafted by a talented artist in the 18th century. The white background seen is believed to be a thin sheet of Mica and the base is a beautiful and high quality copper mounting. Examples like this do not come up for sale often.
