This early work was excecuted while Tallentire was a student of Kenneth Webb at the Blue Door Studio in Dublin, from where she submitted works to the RHA (1972-1979) and the RUA (1969-1978). She studied at the Slade 1986 to 1988. She has lived and worked - mainly in video, performance and installations - in London since 1984 and currently teaches at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design. She was the sole representative for Ireland at the 1999 Venice Biennale, the work exhibited at Venice was consequently shown was at the Lux Gallery last autumn. Other exhibitions include, Multiples X 3 Temple Bar Gallery, Dublin. Since 1993, she has worked collaboratively with John Seth whilst continuing independent projects.
