Literature:

Notes: Anna Ritchie studied art at the Melbourne National Gallery in her native Australia before moving to England to pursue further studies. Her work had figurative beginnings in her early years but later developed a more abstract approach much like her husband Basil Blackshaw whom she met in Ireland after a period of travel on the Continent. Their marriage broke up by the 1970s. During her career she held solo shows at the Ritchie Hendriks Gallery, Dublin, Arts Council Gallery and Queens University, Belfast among other venue in Ireland and abroad. Her work is represented in the Ulster Museum, the Arts Council of Ireland and Northern Ireland, Trinity College Dublin as well as other public and private collections in Ireland and Britain.
