Signed book: The Philosophy of Andy Warhol. First edition, first printing. NY: Harcourt, Brace, Jovanovich, 1975. Hardcover with dustjacket, 5.75 x 8.75, 241 pages. Signed and inscribed in black felt tip on the first free end page, “To Ron, Andy Warhol,” adding a sketch of a Campbell’s Soup can, and writing “Campbell’s Soup,” on the sketch. In fine condition. Ronald Tavel (1936-2009) was an American screenwriter, director and actor, best known for his work with Andy Warhol and The Factory. Tavel worked as a screenwriter during the 1960s for many of Warhol's underground films including Chelsea Girls. Warhol soup can sketches are, of course, highly collectible!
