Vyshinsky occupied numerous key positions during for the Communist party of the Soviet Union, including being the Head of the Russian delegation at Nuremberg. He is best known for being Stalin's head prosecutor for the state. He was the most aggressive and vengeful Chief Prosecutor during the Great Purge trials in Moscow in the 1930s. He was the inventor of the "theory" that "confession is the queen over all sorts of evidence", after which the KGB investigators began to torture people to extract confessions rather than gather evidence. This particular document was issued in Moscow and in it Vyshinsky orders all the Customs and Border Patrol officials to help a British diplomat during his crossing of the border. In very fine condition; three binder holes on the left edge; minor edge wear; pencil notation in the upper right corner.
