<B>Presidents Andrew Johnson and Ulysses S. Grant </B></I><B><I>Cartes de Visite </B></I></B></I><B>Photographs Signed</B></I> "<I>Andrew Johnson</B></I>" and "<I>U.S. Grant/General</B></I>" beneath the image. Each is displayed in a 5" x 6.25" ornately gilt-bordered card. The opening displaying each photograph is 2" x 3.25" with a curved top. The two <I>cartes de visite </B></I>are back to back. Together they are one-sixteenth of an inch thick and can carefully be split. The <I>cartes de visite </B></I>had to have been placed in the openings separately before they were attached to each other. Light foxing at lower left of Grant card, light soiling at perimeter of Johnson card.
