Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 11.75 x 15, March 27, 1832. Scallop-topped ship’s pass issued for “the Brig Industry of Westport, George Sowle master or commander…To Pass with her Company, Passengers, Goods and Merchandize without any hinderance, seisure or molestation.” Prominently signed at the conclusion by President Jackson and countersigned by Secretary of State Edward Livingston. The crisp white paper seal. In fine condition, with light toning over most of the document, and old mounting remnants on the reverse.
