United States President Andrew Jackson inaugural address broadside, dated 1836, from the ''clerks office of the District Court of Massachusetts.'' Jackson's address was particularly important as it was the first inaugural address to be given on the East Portico of the United States Capitol, whereas before it had been an indoor, invitation-only affair. Broadside, on thick card stock, measures 5'' x 6.5'', with some very light red staining along edges. Very good.
