Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 12 x 15.25, July 6, 1835. Desirable patent signed by President Andrew Jackson, in part: "Ernst G. Augustin, who has given legal notice of his intention to become a citizen of the United States, hath alleged that he has invented a new and useful improvement in the Stove used for cooking & warming rooms." Prominently signed at the conclusion by President Jackson, and countersigned by Secretary of State John Forsyth and Attorney General Benjamin Franklin Butler. The page annexed to the document describes the invention, and a printed diagram of the stove is included. In very good to fine condition, with light soiling to the first page, light staining to the second, and the white wafer seal detached from the vellum but held in place by its pink ribbon; the printed diagram of the stove is worn and stained, and held in a larger frame.
