Andrew Jackson land grant signed as President. This document, signed ''Andrew Jackson'' in large script, is dated 10 April 1829. It entitles Jacob Miller to eighty acres in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Jackson's presidency was characterized by his expansionist land policies, including his agenda for moving the native Indians off their lands, culminating in the Indian Removal Act of 1830. A seal is affixed to the lower left. Single-page partially-printed document is filled in by an unknown hand. Measures 15.5'' x 9.75''. Foxing and toning along fold lines. Very good overall.
