Physiologist and biophysicist who won the 1963 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine (1917–2012). AMS, one page both sides, 8 x 10, no date. Handwritten manuscript for an article on cardiac muscle headed “After p. 15” and signed “Andrew Huxley” at the top, in part: “The nature of the connection between these tubules and the surface membrane was another question that caused a great deal of difficulty…The fact that the tubules are open to the extracellular space was demonstrated in 1963 by several sets of experiments in different laboratories.” In fine condition.
