A nineteenth century inscription on the reverse reads: "This is supposed to be a
portrait of Harriet daughter of George Kiernan of Blackhall and Drumcondra Co.
Dublin. She was born 10th August 1781. She died at Drumcondra 10th September
1835. The portrait was painted by A. Dunn in 1807 / Miniature Painter Dublin".
