Eminent Soviet nuclear physicist, dissident and human rights activist (1921-1989). He was an advocate of civil liberties and reforms in the Soviet Union and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1975. Ballpoint Cyrillic signature on an off-white 4.25 x 2.5 card. In very good condition, with several creases, with a couple of the creases passing through signature. Consignor notes signature was obtained in the spring of 1989 at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts after a lecture.
