French composer (1905–1974). ALS in French, signed “Andre,” one page both sides, 8.25 x 10.75, Comedie Francaise letterhead, no date, but postmarked June 6, 1957. Untranslated letter to musicologist Vladimir Fedorov about his teacher Edgar Varèse, who he visited to provide his deep affections with a clear form and acquire the necessary means of expression. In fine condition, with central horizontal and vertical folds. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed in Jolivet’s hand.
