Guptas, Skandagupta Kramaditya / Sharabhpurias of Chhatisgarh, (c. 5th century AD), Gold Dinar, 1.28g, Garuda flanked by shankha and charka, with box-headed Brahmi legend below Sri Kramadityasya. Uniface, repousse and bracteates, broad flan. Extremely Fine, Extremely Rare. A very rare ruler as compared to Prasannamatra or Mahendraditya of the Sharabhapurias. Mahendraditya was the biruda of Kumaragupta and Kramaditya that of Skandagupta. Scholars have argued for the last century for and against the view that these coins indeed belong to the regional issues of the Gupta Empire. However, Treasures of the Gupta Empire, 2017 (page 349) by Sanjeev Kumar includes Kramaditya under the ‘Skandagupta’ - Garuda type section.
