Wonderful ancient silver Roman denarius coin (Mn. Aemilius Lepidus) of approximately 18MM, made between 114-113 BC. The obverse, facing the back of the pendant, depicts the head of Roma (according to legend a Trojan heroine, who in various accounts is involved in the founding of Rome). The reverse of the coin, facing forward on this pendant, shows an equestrian statue on top of a 3-arched platform. The coin is set in a modern 14K mounting and includes a nice 14K solid rope chain of 20", total weight of piece is 12.3 grams and in weight and presentation, suitable for a man or a woman.
