Ancient India: Western Kshatrapas, Karddamaka dynasty, silver drachm of Rudrasimha I s/o Rudradaman as Mahakshatrapa (SE 99/100-119/ 177/78-197 AD), Fishman 11.5, Mint B, Undated type and listed as extremely rare, 2.17g. Obv: Profile bust of king to right wearing flat cap and earrings, Greek legend around. Rev: Three arch hill (chaitya) at center surmounted by a crescent and flanked by sun and moon, wavy line (river) below, Brahmi legend in Prakrit language from 8 o'clock Rajno Mahakshatrapasa Rudradamaputrasa Rajno Mahakshatrapasa Rudrasihasa around.

Extremely fine, Very rare.

Only one coin of this type is listed by Fishman and the coin offered in this auction is better than the listed one. Fishman has mentioned that only a few of these undated type coins have been reported to exist.
