Vishnukundin-style coinage from Northern Maharashtra/Vidarbha, 'bull' type coin in alloyed copper attributed to Swamiraja, a ruler from a local Rashtrakuta dynasty, (600-800 AD), 2.45g. Obv: Bull facing right in a circle, Brahmi letter Shri Swa near its hump. Rev: Goddess seated in frontal position, holding a lotus in her hand and flanked by a lotus to left.

Very fine+, Extremely rare.

In the North Maharashtra 'Vishnukundin'- style coins, goddess on reverse is an extremely rare depiction.
