Ancient Marathwada/West Vidarbha - uninscribed die-struck coin of pre-Satavahana period, (c.200-150 BC), a new type not listed in any source, 7.58g. Obv: Elephant with trunk raised facing right, simplified Nandyavarta and 'Ujjain' symbols above and to right, respectively/ the motif enclosed in an ornate double rectangular border with Swatikas. Rev: A tree-in railing in a rectangle with taurines in all corners.
