Mahatalavaras in South Andhra - uninscribed 'bull' type lead coin, (c.250-300 AD), unpublished in major sources, 0.84g. Obv: bull standing facing left, triangle-headed symbol above. Rev: six- arched hill with wavy lines on either side, within a double rectangular border.

Extremely fine, Rare.

Although the coin is uninscribed, its attribution to the Mahatalavaras is certain on typological grounds. Inscribed larger units of this series are known from Chandavaram excavations in Andhra Pradesh.
