Kaushambi (Vatsa) - monarchical coinage attributed to pre-Kushana period, (c.50-100 AD), alloyed copper coin of Shiva(dasa/mitra?), not listed in PAIC, 2.25g. Obv: Strung bow and arrow, tree-in-railing and a sacrificial post in a row; Brahmi legend Shiva(da/mi?)… below. Rev: Bull standing facing right.

Very fine, Very rare.

The suffix to the name 'Shiva-' is not clearly seen on the coin. It could be either '-dasa' or '-mitra'. Whichever way, the name is not known otherwise to the series of monarchical coins of Kaushambi.
