A large hoard of disks and beads similar to these were found in May 2000 at Mandi in Muzaffarnagar district, Western Uttar Pradesh, attributed to the Indus Valley Civilization (mature phase). The hoard was contained in two bronze containers and included many varieties of spacer beads, hollow terminal beads, single and double bell-shaped beads, and thin circular diskettes.
