Guptas, Samudragupta, Gold Dinar, 7.62g, "Standard / Javelin" type, Obv: Nimbate King standing to left, wearing tunic, holding a javelin standard and offering sacrifice at an altar, Garuda standard to left, Brahmi legend "Samarasatavitatavitatavijayo Jitaripurajito Divam Jayati" around, Brahmi "Samudra" below hand holding Javelin, Rev: Goddess seated facing on throne, holding noose in right hand and cornucopia in left, Brahmi legend "Parakramah" to right and a tamgha in the left field (S. Kumar Class II, Var. B). Test mark on edge otherwise very fine+, rare.
