<td width="100%">
Ancient Chinese silver mirror dating to early Tang period. The obverse is decorated in the central round panel with 4 mythological animals alternating with raised grape clusters. There are 3 circular bands, the central one being the widest and decorated with 5 mythological animals. The outer circular band is decorated with an elaborate ornamental scroll. The inner circle has archaic characters in high relief. A square representing the earth, encompasses the central knob. We believe that this is an imperial funerary mirror due to the fact that has 9 mythological animals and the 4 mythological animals in the central panel, represent the emperor demise. Estimated value: $2.500.
