Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) - Cat-Riding Cowboy Puppet.
Measuring 12" tall.
Original cat-riding cowboy puppet used in the Judd Apatow produced satirical comedy film 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy' (2004), a tongue-in-cheek take on the culture of the 1970s, particularly the new Action News format. It portrays a San Diego television station where Ferrell's title character clashes with his new female counterpart.
The puppet can be seen riding an unfortunate cat during the Kitty Fashion show Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) must cover as her first project working for the news station. The cowboy is a Ken style doll and sits on a little plastic saddle with stirrups, lasso and blanket, and is complete with denim trousers, leather jacket, hobnail boots, chaps and a tiny black cowboy hat. It wraps around the cat with an elasticated band with Velcro, and still even has some of the cat’s hair stuck in it.
Starring Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, Seth Rogen and Christina Applegate.
