Ancel Nunn is a beloved son of Seymour Texas, he was born April 27, 1928 and passed away in 1999. He was a protege of artists Doug Kingman and Alexander Hogue. At the young age of 16 he won his first art competition and was exhibited at the Carnegie Library at Pittsburgh. He has been featured in numerous books, magazines and exhibited at many places over his 35 year career, including the University of Texas. Mr. Nunn is well listed and famous for his landscapes with building/structure.
This particular work is titled, Catarina, South, Texas. The detail in the Prairie grass is extraordinary. Nunn had a unique talent to produce nostalgic scenes. This piece will add class to any room in the house. It is signed in ink Ancel E. Nunn and reproduced by the The Encino Press 1970. Please note that I have two other Ancel Nunn's listed.
