An ivory netsuke of a horse and two karako.
Early 19th century. Caparisoned horse standing on a scalloped seal base, neck extended upwards and twisted to the back, with two karako, one seated on the back and holding a flageolet, the other standing next to the base and beating a small drum, the mane well carved and highlighted with black ink, the bottom carved with a stylized seal character.
