Book is approx. two thirds full but most interesting is very last written page in diary form dated Christmas day 1892 by a George C Bakewell on Broner Ranch near Wood Lake Cherry Co Nebraska "This Sunday snowing have been baling hay at W. Honeye the past week, yesterday put halters on the young mules, they were wild". Wood Lake became the largest cattle shipping town on the Fremont Elkhorn & Missouri Valley Railroad in the 1880"s and is now considered a retirement Village. Research further shows George Bakewell and wife had a daughter who died Dec. 6 1898 at 4 days old and is buried at Wood Lake Cemetery.
