An important pair of Derby jugs, circa 1815, of ovoid bulbous form, painted with oval panels by Richard Dodson and depicting fanciful birds in classical rural landscape, within gilt trailing foliate borders, the neck with Regency gilt acanthus decoration, acanthus moulded scroll handles, crown cross batons mark in red, gilders three dot mark, height 15.5cm, 6 inches.
