An important Japanese hand carved ivory figural group. A central caldron surrounded with well carved minions of small devils. Stylized flames rise from the caldron along with the figure of a devil and a merchant carrying a backpack. All finely etched and stained. Signed on inlaid plaque underside. 10 1/4" high. 12000-14000
