An early Victorian mahogany and oak banded longcase clock, indistinctly signed Whithers, Halifax, the broken scrolled cornice raised above turned baluster supports enclosing a 33cm, 13 inch enamelled dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture between painted spandrels depicting picturesque landscapes below an arched scene of a lady rowing beside a bank, above an arched door raised on a stepped plinth and apron with block feet, eight day movement, height 235cm x width 64cm, 92 1/2 inches x 25 inches.
