An early George III oak longcase clock, circa 1770, the stepped cornice with a blind fretwork frieze and doric supports enclosing an 11 inch brass dial with Roman numerals and date aperture within cast brass spandrels, signed Baddeley, Albrighton, thirty hour movement, the case with arched door on a stepped plinth base, height 207cm, 81 1/2 inches. Footnote:- It can be noted that Baddeley was working as a clockmaker at Albrighton from the period 1766-1780. £700-1000
