An early 19th century oak and mahogany Welsh dresser, probably North Wales, having a moulded cornice above a bellflower carved frieze in turn above three open shelves with scroll supports with further foliate carving at each extremity, the breakfront base fitted with four short graduated drawers to the centre with wooden knob handles and cockbeading to the drawer fronts and with bone escutcheons, flanked by turned columns and foliate carved capitals flanked again by a short drawer above a panelled cupboard door with wooden knob handles and cockbeading to each drawer front with bone escutcheons and with further turned columns to either side with plinth base beneath. Height 87ins., width 72ins., depth 20ins. (see illustration)
