He was originally a bookkeeper at his father's corn mill before traveling to South Africa and the diamond fields where he set up a shop. He returned to Tyneside, England to pursue a career as a professional artist and produced a body of work he exhibited at Liverpool, Manchester, in Scotland and the Royal Academy in London. <B>Condition Report:</B> Excellent.
