An Industrial Nameplate “SIR CHARLES ALLEN”, as carried by the Peckett Type E 0-4-0ST with outside cylinders Works No. 1465 of 1917. It went new to the Ebbw Vale Steel Iron & Coal Co Ltd. Ebbw Vale Works as No. 31. In October 1936 it went to Partridge Jones and John Paton Ltd. Marine Colliery, Cwn. On 1st January 1947 it became NCB property at Marine Colliery. Between 1967 and 1968 it was rebuilt with parts of Peckett 1524 of 1919 and Ebbw 2 of 1907. On 17th May 1969 it went to the NCB’s Hafodyrynys Colliery, then to Tymawr Colliery about May 1973 where it was scrapped on site in April 1976. Rectangular cast brass, 40”x5”, face polished and repainted only. An Ebbw Vale style nameplate. (see Lot 241).
