An INDUSTRIAL NAMEPLATE "RUSSELL". As carried by an 0-4-0ST with outside cylinders built by Andrew Barclay as Works No. 2282 in 1949. It worked all its life at the North Western Gas Board's Greenside Gas Works, Blackburn and was finally withdrawn in 1956. Rectangular cast brass with scalloped corners, 32 3/4"x6 1/2",face-polished and repainted only. Attractive serif lettering.
