An Extensive Royal Worcester Porcelain Dinner Service, retailed by Waring & Gillow Ltd], each piece with a broad purple band gilded in relief with six paterae linked by leafy bands and punctuated by formalised classical motifs within a guilloche border, comprising thirty-six dinner plates, {26.5cm diameter}, twenty-four dessert plates, {23cm diameter}, twelve kidney shape side plates, twelve soup bowls, nine graduated oval serving and meat plates, a circular pedestal bowl, a pair of two-handled pedestal sauce tureens, covers and stands, four circular vegetable tureens and covers, and a high footed vegetable tureen, cover and stand, printed mark in puce, date mark for 1918, with retailer's "Waring & Gillow Ltd, Oxford Street, London", painted number C1386 in orange (107) {See illustration} £1600-2200
