Northern Iran, Ca 1200 to 1000 BC. Short sword of exceptional quality, with deep recessed grips, once holding wood or ivory inlays, and long sharp blade with central blood-ridge. Once gleaming golden color, now with fabulous areas of crystallized malachite blue patina. Custom, museum-grade stand. Custom stand. Blade itself measures 17"L. Intact save small missing section of upper grip on reverse. One of the finest short swords we have ever seen!
