An Elizabethan provincial silver communion cup with moulded rim over a simple band of stylised acanthus foliage, raised on a knopped stem with domed plinth, the conical bowl with 19th century monogram T.J.B.The rim and underside struck with Exeter assay office marks and makers marks for John Jones, the inside bears date letter B for 1575, 6 ozs, 6ins high.(See illustration) £2000-3000
