An Edwardian mahogany bureau bookcase in two sections, the top half with a swans neck pediment with pierced fretwork gallery between in turn above a blind fretwork collar and a pair of thirteen pane glazed panelled doors with wooden astragals enclosing shelves in turn above the base having a brass escutcheon to the fall front with moulded edge opening to an interior fitted with a series of drawers, pigeon holes and central cupboard with birds eye maple veneered fronts and with four long graduated drawers beneath with brass swans neck drop handles with pierced backplates and standing on shaped bracket feet. Height 91ins., width 36ins., depth 19ins. (see illustration)
