Vintage lithograph, made from the oil painting ‘An August Morning with Farragut’ by William H. Overend, 26.25 x 17, which shows Farragut and his crew on board the USS Hartford against CSS Tennessee during the Battle of Mobile Bay, where he issued his famous command, “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.” Matted and framed to an overall size of 41 x 33. Scattered soiling and marks to mat, otherwise fine condition.
