An 18th century oak longcase clock with bell striking eight day movement, the scrolling swan neck pediment with eagle mounted finial above an arched glazed door flanked with brass capped reeded columns enclosing a 12 inch brass dial with pierced gilt spandrels, silvered chapter ring and date aperture, the central field engraved with the figure of a huntsman and his dog within scrolling foliage, signed 'Taylor, Strand Street, Whitehaven', above an arched trunk door with pagoda escutcheon flanked with canted corners, standing on a plinth base with ogee bracket feet, 230cm £2000-3000
