Thangka depicting The Buddha of Eternal Life as the central
figure; surrounded by two, who are in sum, known as the "se Lha
Nam Sum," the Three Long-life Deities. Each can be practiced
individually however many prayers and praises include all three.
Within a given composition, the principal personage invariably
occupies the center stage, while acolytes and attendants are
reduced in size to further emphasize the majesty of the central
figure.



Amitayus Tibetan: Tse pag me "...with a body the color of coral
or the rising sun, very red and shining forth with various colored
rays of light; one face, two hands, and with two long eyes
glancing with compassion on beings, gazing on the entirety of
migrators, and a smiling face..." - Zhuchen Tsultrim Rinchen
(1697-1769).



A range of value for a piece of this type is underscored by its
decoration with gold gilding -- suggestive of superior quality
when compared to thangkas that are otherwise, common in the
marketplace.
