American tiger maple campaign style desk with brass plaque showing original inscription "Henry Worthington, U.S. Navy". Worthington served aboard the U.S.S. Constitution (Old Ironside) during Barbary pirate war era 1805. The desk measures 8" height, 21" width, and 11" deep. Very slight angle cut to desk flap and good untouched as found original condition. Notes from Rebecca Palmer (U.S.S. Constitution Museum) and noted Revolutionary War collector Bob Nittolo on the provenance and confirming research of Worthington's service. A rare and desirable early American naval artifact.
