American heavy-barrel target rifle marked “A. R. Davis Deposit New York, Cast Steel” all neatly stamped in small silver cartouche on barrel. The rifle is approx. .52 caliber and included is an original false muzzle, bulletstarted, mould, and swedge. The rifle measures approx. 44-1/2” overall, with 27-7/8” heavy octagon barrel which is approx. 1-7/8” across the flats. The rifle weights 25-1/2lbs. It is equipped with a disk-typepeep sight mounted in tang, hooded target-type front sight, iron mounts, adjustable single set trigger, nicely stocked in burl walnut. The metal condition is good to very good. The stock has been broken andneatly repaired and refinished. The bore is very good plus to near fine. Seldom encountered with desirable tools and even brass removable barrel rest mounted under the muzzle. Est: $2,000 - $4,000
