American flintlock dueling/target pistol with saw-handled grip sighted B & J Cooper, New York, converted to percussion in American style. The pistol measures 15” overall with 9” barrel, approx. .60 caliber smoothbore, half stocked in walnut with engraved iron mounts and silver barrel key, escutcheons, and forend cap. The pistol shows a set trigger, engraved iron mounts, a gold band at the breech, and is signed both on barrel and lock. The style is slightly unusual with a rounded butt and saw handle. The metal surfaces show a brown patina with scattered light to moderate erosion and surface pitting and a slightly heavier pitting on the barrel and muzzle. The stock is good with normal wear, minor impressions, slight scratches, etc. The action is good, the conversion is well done and shows a lightly engraved American-style hammer. From the William R. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
